With the exception of a few years of Tae Kwon Do when I was 11, I really didn't get into martial arts training till later in life. Once I got in, I was hooked! At age 30, I walked into Guro Andy Wilson's Seattle Branch of MKG Martial Arts International. I had no Idea what Thai boxing was or Kali, Jun Fan, BJJ, any of it. I just thought the workout looked exciting, and it was! I lost weight and gained more muscle in a very short time. More importantly, I fell in love with the arts.
After about a year of training I went to LA to pursue a music career. While down there I would frequent the Inosanto Academy to take classes. Not only was Guro Dan Inosanto so inspiring to be around, but the love, admiration, and respect that his students feel for him is profound. I knew I wanted to be a part of this training and the Inosanto extended family. During that time Andy asked me if I was coming back and if so would I be interested in working for him. |

Long story short, I worked and taught and MKG for over 8 years I was very lucky to have been a part of it's amazing growth!
I am so grateful to Guro Andy for the opportunity to be affiliated with such people as Ajarn Chai, Rick Faye, and Guro Inosanto! My vision for Seattle Integrated Martial Arts is parallel to the character of MKG schools. SIMA has been operating in West Seattle since Nov. 2009 and we keep getting stronger.
