Seattle Integrated Martial Arts involves both an internal school ranking system as well as an affiliate ranking system. We currently rank students in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kali (Filipino martial arts)/JKD.
Students must first pass what is called the Entry Level Test to begin the ranking process. This test is free and scheduled online or at the dojo. Students are given access to the Entry Level Test material when they enroll as a regular student. Students are not automatically given rank because they have met the minimum class time required and passed the test. Consistently demonstrating the attributes of a good student is equally important. |
